In the recently released Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, many players have stumbled upon a cyberware repair technician in the new map. Compared with the punkish appearance of many prosthetic mechanics, this character may even be a little inconspicuous, what lies behind his character has touched the hearts of many. In fact, this character serves as a tribute by CD Projekt Red (CDPR) to a late Chinese player, and we are here to share this heartwarming story with you.

Qiansi Hu, known as "Niu Niu," was a Chinese model enthusiast who also happened to be an avid Cyberpunk 2077 fan. He operated a small shop on a Chinese online trading platform, specializing in custom-made 3D-printed model modifications. Regular patrons of his shop noticed a decline in the quality of his products and decided to visit his store page for an explanation.

To their dismay, they discovered that the original shop owner, "Qiansi Hu" or "Niu Niu," had passed away on May 21, 2022, due to a rare illness. In an effort to carry on her son's passion and spirit, his mother, with the help of her son's friends, embarked on a journey of self-learning, gradually delving into the world of model crafting and various related technologies, thereby inheriting his shop.

One of the pieces that “Niu Niu” took immense pride in was a recreation of the Relic personality chip from Cyberpunk 2077, a concept familiar to many players. One can only wonder if Niu Niu's mother secretly hopes that the Relic model crafted by her son can serve as a guardian of his spirit.

Fast forward to the release of the recent DLC, When Chinese players explored new game content, they encountered a familiar name "Qiansihu". Excitedly, they reported this discovery to Niu Niu's mother. In the DLC, the character "Qiansi Hu" is portrayed as a cyberware repair doctor who, before Niu Niu's passing, had signed up for body donation to aid those in need.

In closing, we'd like to share a sentiment expressed by one player: "We hope that CDPR can add some dialogue options for the NPC 'Qiansi Hu' because, in the future, there will be a 'V' arriving in Night City. She doesn't aspire for fame or legendary status in Night City. She just wants to have a conversation with her son once more."
