The upcoming miHoYo/HoYoverse game, Zenless Zone Zero, is scheduled for release on July 4. Ahead of the launch, a special pre-release programme took place on 28 June, unveiling a host of updates and features.

miHoYo co-founder and CEO Dawei joined the Zenless Zone Zero development team on the livestream to announce the game's launch content.

Announcements from the livestream

The HoYoverse urban fantasy ARPG introduced new storyline content set in New Eridu, the game's central location. The city has received several additions, which were highlighted during the special programme.

• Lumina Square: An urban district where players will find Bangboo in need of help, hidden cargo trucks with various rewards, and other surprises.
  

• Scott Outpost: A base of operations overlooking Hollow Zero, ideal for explorers looking to challenge themselves and defeat enemies in Hollow Zero and Shiyu Defence.

• Random Play: Now featuring a second floor where players can enjoy activities such as playing music or customising their photo walls.

New story content

- Chapter 2 Interlude: Introducing Officer Zhu Yuan.

- Chapter 3: The members of Victoria Housekeeping reveal their true colours.

New Playable Agents

Two new agents, Lucy and Piper, from the Sons of Calydon faction will be playable, along with more new Bangboo to assist in combat. Players will be able to pre-set their preferred Bangboo for Signal Search, ensuring that they receive their desired S-Rank Bangboo.

In-Game Rewards

To celebrate the launch, players can earn the following rewards through in-game progression, global launch events, and limited-time in-game events such as Friendship Watch and Watch Your Step:

- 1600 polychromes

- 70 Master Tapes

- 20 encrypted master tapes

- 80 Boopons

In addition, a roundtable reveal of the game's collaboration with Street Fighter 6 is scheduled for June 29.
