Today, on November 28, 2024, Neverness to Everness (NtE), developed by Hotta Studio under Perfect World, has launched its first PC-exclusive test. This highly anticipated open-world urban game combines city simulation with elements of supernatural horror, offering players an immersive experience in a sprawling, dynamic cityscape. Since its debut in July 2024, NtE has captivated the gaming community with nearly twenty minutes of PV footage and live gameplay demonstrations, showcasing seamless urban environments and exciting gameplay systems.

Urban Life Simulation

In Neverness to Everness, players can purchase properties, including both residential and commercial spaces. Although residential properties are not yet available in the current test, the commercial real estate system has already been implemented. Much like the real-world market, the price of commercial properties is determined by factors such as location, size, and expected foot traffic. Different areas of the city offer unique opportunities for various types of businesses, though this test currently only features the coffee shop as a type of business to operate.

Detailed Vehicle System for Exploration

Exploring the vast urban sprawl in Neverness to Everness requires efficient transportation, and the game offers a comprehensive vehicle system. The current test features a variety of cars, including off-road vehicles, family sedans, and sports cars. Each vehicle has unique performance attributes, such as torque, RPM, and grip, which influence how they handle on the road. This system provides players with a diverse range of vehicles to choose from, each offering a distinct driving experience.

Supernatural Elements and the "New Strange Tales"

One of the standout features of Neverness to Everness is its integration of "new strange tales"—a genre that takes everyday life and imbues it with strange, eerie elements. The game sets up these supernatural events in an otherwise mundane city environment, creating a chilling contrast. As a 3D open-world game, NtE offers a more immersive and varied way to experience these eerie phenomena from different angles and perspectives.

In the framework of an open-world urban environment, the game expands on the concept of "new strange tales" with unique gameplay mechanics. For example, while driving along a specific coastal highway, players can trigger an event called "Headless Iron Rider," where a mysterious rider on a blue fire motorcycle appears. To deal with this entity, the game combines elements of racing and combat in a "race + battle" mechanic, offering both challenge and excitement.
