NetEase Games has announced that its new RPG game Over Field (PC / iOS / Android), which allows players to explore beautifully crafted miniature worlds, is entering Early Access in Japan. Recruitment for this early access phase begins today.

Over Field launched its official website last week and is currently recruiting players for Early Access.

About the game

Over Field is set in the early 20th century. Scientists Dr and Mrs Rota accidentally observed a mysterious space which they named "Over Field". Despite their best efforts, they were unable to unravel the scientific mysteries of this space within their lifetimes. Fifty years later, the Rota Institute, building on many years of research, finally succeeds in entering this dimension and begins the exploration of unknown territories. It is discovered that numerous unexplained astronomical phenomena, myths, legends, disappearances and unsolved events are closely linked to "Over Field".

Over Field can be hidden in the gaps between bookcases, inside clocks and on lotus leaves - places that are commonplace in everyday life but difficult to detect. In Over Field, the laws of time and space do not apply. Players will work with characters of different personalities to solve various strange phenomena and mysteries one by one.

Officials stated that players will take on the role of Rota Institute employees and explore "Over Field". The map is mainly divided into Rota Garden (reality) and the exploration space (Over Field). In Rota Garden, players can enjoy simulation elements such as building cities, producing items and customising characters. Players can also enjoy various amusements in the city's public areas and communicate with other players using stickers and emoticons.

The Exploration Area features themed worlds such as the Bottle Path, the Cherry Blossom World and the Hourglass World. In these areas, players can engage in mini-games such as fighting enemies, collecting tools and solving puzzles. Players can also unlock the main story based on their exploration progress. Exploration takes place in teams of three, with the player controlling one member while the other two automatically fight. The characters are presented as cute mini-figures that contrast with the game's realistic visuals to create a unique atmosphere.
