Codename: Cedar is a real-time tactical game set in a world driven by military themes and interplanetary conflict. The story begins 29 years ago when Earth’s astronauts landed on the planet Nox, inhabited by beings with animal-like ears who wield a mysterious power called "EGO." In their quest for international prestige, two major Earth factions launched a fierce space race, pouring massive resources into the development of Nox—a planet still operating with 17th-century technology.

However, five years ago, the “Alliance,” one of Earth’s leading factions, collapsed under the pressure of the space race, triggering a brutal civil war. With their external rival gone, the remaining faction, the “Concordat,” fell into disorder. This instability spread across both Earth and Nox, which struggled to sustain its nascent industrial and social systems without Earth’s support.

Players take on the role of a young veteran and survivor of the Alliance’s civil war. Their mission is to travel to Nox and retrieve EGO research from the Alliance’s golden era. The ultimate goal is to uncover a “legacy” said to unlock immense powers capable of reshaping worlds. The choices made throughout the game will determine the fate of both Earth and Nox.
