Azur Promilia, developed by Manjuu Games, the studio behind the popular side-scrolling shoot-'em-up Azur Lane, is generating considerable excitement in the ARPG genre. Despite few official announcements, a Reddit user has speculated that the game could be released by 25 January 2025, based on the game's approval date in China.

The National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) in China handles the approval process for games. In order to release a game in China, developers must obtain a game version number from the NPPA, which grants the game approved status. According to Reddit user u/shlrine-azurpromilia, Azur Promilia was approved in China on 25 January 2024. This approval means that the game must be released within one year, by 25 January 2025. If the game isn't released within this period, the developer must inform the Ministry of Culture and explain why. If the project is cancelled, the Ministry will revoke the approval number.

There is also the possibility that Azur Promilia could be resubmitted for approval if significant changes are made to the game, in which case a new approval date would be assigned. If further delays occur, and given that the game content is almost complete, the latest predicted release date could be mid-2026.

Azur Promilia: High expectations and impressive gameplay

With an impressive gameplay reveal, Azur Promilia is set to be the next big thing in the ARPG genre. Keep an eye on the official website and social media channels for further announcements. While the January 2025 release date is speculative, fans are hoping the game will arrive on time or even sooner. Testing periods are expected, but the developers are likely to ensure the product is fully finished before launch, rather than rushing the release.
